Maps & Places

Map of County Adelbern

So the Mountain Lords series begins with the story of Areth Adelbern and his home region. As the series goes, we will meet new casts of characters and visit new places, some of whom have a connection to Areth or his homeland. Several maps have been done of these counties (and another is planned with a future novel), to denote different scribes who have made their attempts at mapping this area. This map can be found at the beginning of "Mountain Knight".

Map of White Tower

Taking place immediately after the events of "Stone Warrior" (and caused by it), but not in the Wanderer series, comes the story of former knight, Marek Cruz, who reluctantly becomes embroiled in the War of the Three Crowns (a 2025 upcoming novel, "Knight from the West"). His story begins in the lands immediately to the south of County Merka, in White Tower County, seen here.

Larger Map of the South

This map is a larger version of what lies south of County Areth, depicting the rebel king Ian Bonam's kingdom, as well as a few other interesting locations. This map you'll see in several different novels, so I can't say too much about it until they're out. You know, spoilers.

Map of County Areth

The County Areth map was made by a scribe about a year after Areth Adelbern's conquest of County Trench (naturally, it was renamed by the Magisterium).

Map of County Merka and Surigard

This is the first map in the Wanderer series, where main character Thurgan Stonebrow's journey gets its start -- at least as far as we journey along with him!

Map of the Azilon Region

In "Mountain Lord" we will first hear of the region south of County Areth, and south of the Dry Valley. Trouble and rebellion have been brewing there, and hints of dark and monstrous things being fought back into the darkness from whence they came by a knight named Patro Boyd, who has taken up the mantle of "Black Knight". Tarmina Strings sings his -- very lengthy -- ballad in the above mentioned novel.
