Continuing the story of Thurgan Stonebrow:
Thurgan Stonebrow and Soraya Benara begin their journey north to hunt for the savage Bruimar. But while crossing the harsh Red Desert, their caravan is attacked and taken over by raiders.
Left with no choice but to join the leader, a man referred to as the Warrior of the Red Desert,
Thurgan and Soraya become embroiled in the effort to rescue his brother from imprisonment
at an ancient and formidable fortress, guarded by an army as well as dark and terrible secrets.
To succeed, they must ally with an ancient and mysterious brotherhood of warriors called the Dark Order, led by the dubious and ambitious Juraal Longbrook, who may only be helping to further his own ends.
They are all, however, walking unknowingly into a trap!
Will Thurgan and Soraya and their companions succeed, or will this deadly trap be the end of the Stone Warrior, and his ally the Warrior of the Red Desert?
Mountain Lord continues the story of Areth and Moltiva, as well as brings in characters from 'Guardians of the High Pass', Hadrim and Degar:

Areth and Moltiva Adelbern are the lord and lady of the fledgling County Areth. Together they face
tremendous obstacles and responsibilities in building their new domain. But neither can foresee
the brewing storm which crawls toward them, a storm that threatens the very foundation of the Empire.
With the recent failure of the Gold Lions, the Steel Lion Company has been assigned to this frontier
region to enforce Imperial law. With uprisings and rebel kings popping up like weeds, the Empress is
tightening control, especially in frontier lands such as County Areth, always alert for who might need
to be weeded out.
In his efforts to create prosperity, Areth has discovered a means to save his homeland. But it will jeopardize his relations with the Imperial Throne--creating a dangerous situation with his new neighbors, the Steel Lions and bring the unwanted attention of the Throne which will cost him dearly.
But even as Areth and Moltiva work toward stability, the coming storm breaks upon them. To save their homeland, Areth must turn enemies into allies and turn his back against all that he had once been loyal. For he has discovered the Empress' dark secret, the heart of that storm, that will shatter an Empire.
