The Mountain Lords series is set in a time when humanity and the world are renewed. Humanity, at least the slice of it we see, has reached into and drawn elements from its past for order and civilization -- elements from a medieval period as well as another period of brave frontier living called 'The Old West'. And in this time we follow the stories of various characters as they face the troubles of this time, whether they are fighting for their home and family or are pulled into larger, historical events. This is a time when humanity huddles in little urban islands protected by high walls surrounded by a sea of wilderness, and only the brave venture out to a frontier reborn.
